What is Dryback LVT?

Dryback LVT is luxury vinyl flooring with a flat, unprofiled back that is bonded directly to the subfloor using adhesive. Sleek offers dryback LVT in plank, tile and herringbone formats.

What “dryback” means

“Dryback” describes the back of the flooring. Unlike click flooring, there is no locking profile or attached underlay. Each plank, tile or herringbone block is bonded directly to a suitably prepared subfloor using flooring adhesive. Dryback LVT is therefore also commonly known as glue-down LVT.

How is dryback LVT installed?

Dryback LVT is bonded directly to a suitably prepared subfloor using flooring adhesive. Unlike a click floor, each plank, tile or herringbone block is individually positioned and bonded in place. Correct subfloor preparation is important to achieving a high-quality finished floor.

For detailed fitting requirements, refer to the Sleek Flooring installation guidance or speak to your Sleek retailer.

Within the Sleek collection, dryback LVT is available in plank, tile and herringbone formats, while our SPC range provides the rigid click-fit option.
